Overview:
The Assistant Instructor Program at the Hoshin Kan is being overhauled to provide a more comprehensive training experience for students. The training will consist of several seminars, ranging between one to four hours each, aimed at preparing a student to not only teach martial arts, but to do so in an ethical and efficient manner. Seminars will be broken into three categories: safety, leadership, instruction. The comprehensive training program will include the following seminars / training events:

- Safety within the Dojo
- HEADS UP Online Training
- CPR / First Aid Certification
- Leadership Block
- Public Speaking
- Communication Theory
- Conflict Resolution
- Ethics in the Dojo
- SafeSport Online Training
- Instruction Block
- Teaching Methodology
- Building a Curriculum
- Interpreting a Kata
- Developing a drill
- Conducting a Test
